Yesterday Dennis and I got some culture by going to see the exhibit Monet to Picasso.
We both enjoyed it, there were some great pieces, I thought it was a bit too small of a collection though, after having been spoiled by rooms and rooms of good art in London last summer. Spoiled! So I'm just going to let it go and say it was definitely worth the price of admission. It was. We were there for the perfect amount of time, and it was uncrowded which was nice, I could take a good closeup view of the paintings without getting in many people's way. I love seeing small things like hairs from the paintbrush of the artist that have been trapped in a painting for a century.

Here is my boyfriend looking very dashing next to the Icelandic Monument in Spanish Fork. We went to SF for a dinner with family and the yearly fireside they have to celebrate Icelandic Days. The fireside was nice, Dennis rocked by singing with a group of RMs in Icelandic. He's pretty good at both Icelandic and singing, and they've all had to live under his shadow as the one with a perfect Icelandic accent. That's why I like him, chicks dig perfect accents. :) It was hot yesterday! Especially in the church where we went for the fireside. I pretty much sweated off 10% of my body weight. But there was a group of cute singing children, and interesting stories, and a prayer in interesting Icelandic, so it was fun!

Whoa, time for an update! Luckily I now live next door to cute nephews. I've instituted an open-door popsicle policy: if the downstairs door is open, that means they can come up anytime and have a popsicle. If it's locked, that means I'm working or sleeping. This applies to anyone by the way! It's the perfect summer policy. Also an update, I'll be starting contract drafting work next week working from home. Yea! Although this particular job I'm just writing a manual.
